On December 27, 1991, I took a snorkeling trip to Buck Island. It was amazing. My video capabilities at the time were low fidelity, but you get some nice shots here. I really enjoyed the underwater trail with signs identifying the coral. More recent and higher quality video of the island can be found on youtube. I then visit Frederiksted for the last part of the video.
December 26, 1991, too. Scene from Basseterre, Howard’s House, Jou’overt Morning-Dec. 26-St. Kitts, The flight to St. Croix, Christiansted, St. Croix. I’m surprised by how much traveling I did this “winter” vacation. Sorry for the lack of narration. Of course the video quality is not so great, but it was 1991.
I have no memory of this excursion, but I did videotape it. From Grand Bay to Soufriere, with Penny, Barb Greenwood, Art, Michelle, Jay Wasserman, & Chris McCoy.
Not sure why this was out of order chronologically on my videotapes. Maybe because the previous tape was almost out of time. I recorded a lot of this creole Cultural presentation. Here it is unedited. This occurred about two weeks before Independence Day for the Commonwealth of Dominica. Prior to the National Cultural Gala, competitions are held at districts then national level and the winners of each traditional dance/performance are chosen to perform at the cultural gala.Julietta & Martin on Creole Day Oct 91
