This is an undated photo that had no description on the back. Based on the bubbles, I am confident that it is a picture from snorkeling in September 1990. As Lennox Honychurch writes in his book, DOMINICA Isle of Adventure, “divers swim through gurgling bubbles created by air rising from volcanic fissures on the sea bed. As one travel writer put it ‘here the sea sings’ and gives one the feeling of swimming through champagne.” A description of the champagne reef and better more colorful pictures can be found at the Dive Dominica website.
